Biography

Liang Weiqiang, PhD in Plastic Surgery, Chief Physician, Deputy Director of the Department of Plastic Surgery and Director of the Body Surface Tumor Specialty at Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hospital, Sun Yat-sen University. After graduating with a bachelor's degree from Sun Yat-sen University of Medical Sciences in 2001, he has been engaged in clinical work in plastic surgery at Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hospital, Sun Yat-sen University for nearly 20 years. He previously completed a one-year fellowship in plastic and aesthetic surgery at the Department of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, Ninth People's Hospital, Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine. He has led and participated in multiple national and provincial research projects. As first author, he has published nearly 20 papers in domestic and international professional journals and has contributed to the compilation of several specialized books. 

Main Research Directions: 
1) Proficient in cosmetic reconstructive surgery for pigmented nevi and other benign and malignant body surface tumors;  
2) Proficient in skin grafting, flap techniques, and other methods for treating various skin defects, especially complex wounds and wound surfaces such as chronic ulcers, bone exposure, pressure sores, osteomyelitis, and diabetic foot;  
3) Proficient in aesthetic procedures such as double eyelid blepharoplasty, eye bag removal, axillary osmidrosis treatment, breast plastic surgery, rhinoplasty, and liposuction/body contouring;  
4) Proficient in minimally invasive aesthetic techniques such as botulinum toxin injection for wrinkle reduction, facial slimming, and calf slimming, as well as hyaluronic acid injection and fat grafting;  
5) Proficient in reconstructive surgery for urogenital and external genital malformations such as hypospadias and concealed penis;  
6) Proficient in correction of congenital deformities such as polydactyly or syndactyly, microtia, prominent ears, and cup ears.  
7) Proficient in comprehensive treatment of scars, including surgical and pharmacologic treatments;
